Ex-Mishcon lawyers launch boutique firm Three Points Law
Two lawyers left Mishcon de Reya to establish Three Points Law, a London firm serving sports, technology and commercial clients. Simon Leaf, who led sports practice and co-directed technology transactions at Mishcon, partnered with former legal director Tom Murray to create what they describe as a tech-focused alternative to conventional firms.
The practice integrates artificial intelligence platform Legora and uses Excello Law’s operational infrastructure to move away from hourly billing toward value-based pricing. Leaf and Murray advised Manchester United player Marcus Rashford on his transfer to Aston Villa and FC Barcelona, and represented Hewlett Packard in a 225 million pound agreement with the University of Bristol to construct Britain’s most powerful supercomputer.
The firm opened with more than 12 founding clients spanning technology suppliers, media companies, real estate operations, athletes, football clubs and entrepreneurs. Three Points pledges at least 5 percent of annual billing time or profits to charitable work, naming Bloomsbury Football Foundation as its founding charity partner.
