Flapmax and IBM partner for Ghana’s first Quantum-AI Summit
Artificial intelligence infrastructure provider Flapmax will partner with IBM to launch Ghana’s inaugural Quantum-AI Summit through its educational arm, the FAI Institute, at Palm University College in Accra. The hybrid gathering combines industry presentations, academic training sessions, quantum computing workshops and an international virtual hackathon accessible both on campus and through digital platforms.
IBM Quantum will deliver practical instruction in quantum programming, algorithms and integrated quantum-AI systems to Ghanaian students and researchers. The collaboration supports the United Nations’ International Year of Quantum Science and Technology while advancing FAI Institute’s objective to broaden access to advanced scientific resources. Palm University College earned selection from over 600 global applicants based on its emphasis on practical STEM instruction, ethical leadership and innovation initiatives.
Flapmax chief executive Dr. Dave Ojika stated the summit aims to expand the availability of transformative technologies throughout Africa. More than 100 registrants representing six Accra institutions have enrolled, with challenge areas encompassing agriculture, energy and healthcare sectors. Participants completing hackathon tasks will receive access to Flapmax’s hybrid quantum-AI computing infrastructure and IBM certification documents.
