Ghana cedi fluctuates against dollar, forex rates rise
The Ghanaian cedi traded at an average buying rate of 10.62 cedis and a selling rate of 11.35 cedis per dollar on Friday, October 24, 2025, according to Cedirates.com. Foreign exchange bureaus quoted 12.10 cedis for purchases and 12.60 cedis for sales, while the Bank of Ghana interbank market showed 10.79 cedis for buying and 10.81 cedis for selling.
The British pound exchanged at 14.05 cedis for buying and 15.08 cedis for selling at bureaus, with the central bank interbank rate at 14.39 cedis. Euro transactions recorded 12.24 cedis for buying and 13.12 cedis for selling at bureaus compared to the interbank rate of 12.54 cedis.
Money transfer services LemFi and Taptap Send offered dollar remittance rates of 10.83 cedis and 10.75 cedis, respectively, from the United States or the United Kingdom. Digital subscription payments through Visa and Mastercard for platforms such as Netflix and Spotify used an exchange rate of 11.61 cedis.
