Hanwha Asset Management wins K-ESG award
A South Korean investment firm won recognition from the labor ministry on Sunday for environmental and social governance practices. Hanwha Asset Management received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award at the 2025 K-ESG Management Awards.
The company has published annual stewardship reports since 2021 and, this year, became the first private asset manager in the country to issue an English version. Management aims to strengthen decision-making through artificial intelligence systems and expanded employee development programs.
The firm supports youth employment through internships and operates the Bright World Fund for financial education and disability services. Chief Executive Kim Jong-ho said the company would maintain focus on global environmental standards as it advances responsible investment principles across the asset management sector.
