Kabogo opens CyberWeek Africa in Nairobi
Kenya’s information minister opened CyberWeek Africa 2025 on Monday at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi. The five-day conference addresses digital security threats through its Compliance by Design framework. William Kabogo Gitau said Kenya has established cybersecurity policies to counter data theft, phishing and ransomware attacks across government and private institutions.
The summit brings together officials, business executives and technology experts from across the continent. Israel’s ambassador to Kenya, Slovakia’s ambassador and representatives from Huawei Kenya attended the opening session. The event runs through Thursday, with workshops examining artificial intelligence security and regional cooperation strategies to protect digital infrastructure across African nations.
