Kora hosts second Sundown Sessions on AI in Africa
Kora convened more than 400 entrepreneurs, creatives and technology leaders in Lagos for the second Sundown Sessions event, which examined artificial intelligence applications across African industries. The November gathering featured discussions on how AI is reshaping sectors from fashion to finance while emphasizing the technology’s role as a creative amplifier rather than replacement.
Speakers, including Ifeanyi Nwunne of I.N. Official Limited and Yinka Ash of Ashcorp Group, explored AI integration in manufacturing and design during the opening conversation. Panel discussions brought together leaders from PiggyVest, Onus Financial Services, Quidax and Nairametrics to address business model evolution, data protection protocols and productivity enhancements enabled by AI tools in fintech and journalism.
Iyinoluwa Aboyeji of Future Africa delivered the keynote address, urging innovators to expand beyond financial technology and prioritize digital infrastructure development to increase internet accessibility. Kora CEO Dickson Nsofor said the company organized the forum to connect technological advancement with community engagement as Africa enters a new phase of digital growth.
