Lafarge Africa profit surges 246% in Q3 2025
Lafarge Africa earned 207.8 billion naira in net profit for the nine months through September, a 246 percent jump from the same period last year. Revenue climbed 63 percent to 780.48 billion naira, as sales volume expanded and operating costs remained under control despite rising expenses.
Chief Executive Lolu Alade-Akinyemi credited currency stability and market strategy for the cement manufacturer’s performance. Operating profit doubled in the third quarter alone, while administrative costs increased 48 percent to 162.03 billion naira across all business segments.
The company operates plants in Ogun, Gombe, and Cross River states with concrete facilities in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. Alade-Akinyemi said technical collaboration with China’s Huaxin Cement Group strengthens production capabilities and supply reliability.
Management expects construction demand to sustain growth through December. The firm plans to expand the use of alternative fuels and low-carbon cement products to reduce environmental impact across its Nigerian operations.
