MTN Nigeria commits N32.23bn to national priorities
MTN Nigeria has allocated over 32.23 billion naira through its Foundation toward youth empowerment, digital inclusion, and infrastructure development, supporting programs including the Skills Academy and STEM scholarships that have enabled recipients such as visually impaired student Sofiya Mustapha to acquire programming competencies. The telecommunications company continues backing the Federal Ministry of Communications’ three-million technical talent initiative while advancing rehabilitation of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway under government infrastructure schemes.
The corporate social investment strategy draws financial strength from profits exceeding 750 billion naira and cumulative tax contributions surpassing 6.9 trillion naira, with beneficiary Akas Ngozi crediting the Foundation for creating pathways to educational advancement.
