NDPC pushes Kano drive for data privacy
Nigeria’s data protection authority participated in two events in Kano State to advance privacy awareness and cybersecurity practices. Abdulmalik Jamoh from the commission’s technology department addressed artificial intelligence training and privacy protection at the Kano Social Influencers Summit. The gathering attracted government officials, technology professionals and digital rights supporters focused on building a secure digital economy.
Jamoh also attended the Cyber Security Innovation Summit at Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, where he met with the university President, Mohammad Israr. The officials discussed creating a student privacy organization to promote data protection education in universities. The commission uses policy discussions, educational programs and community partnerships to strengthen the nation’s digital security framework and protect citizen rights.
