NewJeans members return to ADOR label
The popular K-pop group NewJeans has decided to resume all activities with its label, ADOR. This decision concludes a nearly year-long legal dispute during which all five members had sought to terminate their exclusive contracts. The resolution came just before a deadline to appeal a recent court ruling that upheld the validity of their agreements with the HYBE-owned company.
Initially, only members Haerin and Hyein were confirmed to be returning. The remaining members—Minji, Hanni, and Danielle—later issued a separate statement confirming their collective return. They explained that a delay in communication, partly because one member was in Antarctica, led to their individual announcement. The Seoul Central District Court had previously rejected the group’s claims that ADOR violated its contractual duties.
ADOR has stated it will provide full support for the group’s ongoing artistic projects and requested fan support while discouraging speculation about the members. The group’s former CEO, Min Hee-jin, who was dismissed, has since established a new entertainment company.
