Vampire – The Masquerade – Bloodhunt to shut down in 2026
Sharkmob will shut down Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt servers on April 28, 2026, after four years of operation. The developer blamed an unsustainable player base for ending the free-to-play battle royale that debuted in early access on Sept. 7, 2021, before its full release on April 27, 2022.
The studio stopped creating new content in 2023, one year after launch. Steam data shows the game maintained more than 1,000 simultaneous players only until 2023 and peaked above that threshold twice in 2024. In recent months, there have been just hundreds of active users at any given time.
Players cannot buy virtual currency as of Monday, but may spend existing tokens until the April closure. The company will delete all accounts and gameplay information when the servers go offline. The game was available on personal computers and PlayStation 5 consoles.
