Phison unveils Pascari X201 and D201 PCIe 5 SSDs
Phison announced two enterprise solid-state drive families alongside an integrated graphics processor inference accelerator at the SC25 conference. The Pascari X201 and D201 models deliver sequential read speeds reaching 14.5 gigabytes per second with write performance hitting 12 gigabytes per second, while random operations peak at 3.3 million IOPS for reads and 1.05 million IOPS for writes using PCIe 5.0 connectivity.
The X201 series supports capacities extending to 30.72 terabytes in U.2 and E3.S configurations for bandwidth-intensive analytics platforms, whereas the D201 line offers up to 15.36 terabytes in compact E1.S 15-millimeter form factors optimized for hyperscale density requirements. Both product lines include one and three-drive writes per day endurance ratings.
Phison additionally presented aiDAPTIV Plus, a memory expansion technique for iGPU-equipped systems that reportedly reduced agent workflow response times from approximately 73 seconds to roughly four seconds during internal testing, providing cost-efficient acceleration for edge computing deployments.
