Thermaltake leak confirms Nova Lake prep
Thermaltake confirmed its MINECUBE 360 Ultra ARGB Sync cooler will support Intel’s LGA 1954 socket by listing the specification on its product page. The cooling system will function with both current LGA 1851 processors and future Nova Lake chips without requiring hardware modifications.
Intel’s LGA 1954 socket maintains identical 45mm by 37.5mm dimensions as LGA 1851 and LGA 1700 platforms. Installation guides show the cooler uses one bracket for both LGA 1851 and LGA 1954 systems, eliminating the need for separate mounting hardware.
The compatibility represents a shift from Intel’s practice of altering socket sizes across multiple generations before LGA 1700. Nova Lake processors will arrive in roughly one year with enhanced specifications, such as increased core counts.
The chips will feature Xe3 and Xe4 integrated graphics architectures alongside an NPU6 neural processing unit. The NPU6 will succeed the NPU5 found in Panther Lake processors, delivering improved artificial intelligence performance.
