Triarchy sets sail with co-op boss hunts
Digital Confectioners has announced Triarchy, an open-world co-op action RPG for up to three players, set in a flooded, post-apocalyptic archipelago. The game emphasizes intense melee combat and large-scale boss battles, with each encounter featuring distinct attack patterns, multiple phases, and environmental hazards that demand coordination, timing, and strategic positioning.
Players can replay defeated bosses in standard or Challenge Mode, the latter introducing new abilities, refined mechanics, and tougher tuning for greater rewards. Character progression is facilitated through a talent tree fueled by experience, enabling players to tailor their combat style. Combat relies on stamina management, poise breaks, precise dodges, and narrow parry windows. A wide selection of weapons—each with unique handling—is supported by a freeform dual-wield system.
A customizable ship serves as a mobile base, with upgrades to hulls, sails, speed, and durability. It also hosts crafting stations and a navigation map. The co-op system features no tethering, shared progression, dynamic scaling, and drop-in/drop-out support. Triarchy is targeting a 2026 release and lists the minimum PC requirements, including a Windows 10 OS, 16 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 or RX 580 GPU.
