Warner Records’ Tom Corson honored at City of Hope gala in LA
Warner Records executive Tom Corson accepted the Spirit of Life Award from City of Hope at a Los Angeles ceremony that raised nearly $6 million for cancer research. The entertainment industry has contributed $170 million through this annual campaign since 1973. The organization allocates funds toward treatment programs and music therapy services for young cancer patients.
Corson has worked in the music business for 40 years and joined Warner Records in 2018 as co-chairman and chief operating officer. He previously held leadership positions at RCA Records, IRS Records, A&M Records, and Capitol Records. Under his guidance, Warner Records achieved third place in market share and earned nine Grammy nominations for best new artist.
City of Hope operates as a nonprofit medical center in California that treats cancer, diabetes, and related diseases. The fundraising drive continues through the end of 2025. Warner Records staff members will participate in the Walk for Hope national event on November 2.
