Databricks adds Google Cloud in Saudi Arabia
Databricks has made its data and AI platform accessible through Google Cloud infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, enabling local organizations to develop artificial intelligence applications with improved security controls and regulatory compliance. The deployment follows a physical office launch in Riyadh and a $300 million commitment to support regional digital transformation efforts.
Saudi enterprises will soon access Agent Bricks AI capabilities and advanced language models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Meta Llama through secured governance systems. Najm is collaborating with Baseerah to implement a Lakehouse platform for scaling AI agents, while Beyond ONE applies the technology to generate real-time telecommunications insights for customized customer interactions.
CNTXT will assist Saudi businesses in adopting the combined platform, which offers unified governance, flexible scaling, and cost management through usage-based pricing. The partnership aims to advance data strategies supporting the kingdom’s Vision 2030 development objectives.
