Google’s AI push promises jobs, but founders struggle
A major technology company will conduct a 14-day training session starting later this month to help entrepreneurs build artificial intelligence applications using its development platforms. Google for Startups India will guide participants through the process of creating working prototypes from Nov. 27 through Dec. 7, teaching them to use systems such as Gemini and AI Studio for product development.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in prototype creation, research techniques and creative applications while working with various Google tools. Successful attendees receive certificates and become eligible for a January showcase event that connects outstanding developers with company mentors. Ragini Das, who leads Google for Startups in India, said the initiative aims to remove traditional programming obstacles and help business founders transform concepts into finished products more quickly.
Government agencies and industry groups are backing the program, which builds on earlier efforts to expand the nation’s technology sector. The country has emerged as the second-largest hub globally for generative AI companies after experiencing nearly fourfold growth over 12 months. Google previously selected 20 ventures from more than 1,600 applications for a separate three-month acceleration program focused on deploying AI solutions across health care, finance and education.
