JMG donates solar system to Agboyi-Ketu clinic
JMG Limited has installed a 10-kilowatt solar energy system with 20-kilowatt-hour battery storage at the Agboyi-Ketu Primary Healthcare Centre in Lagos State to ensure uninterrupted electricity for medical operations. Group General Manager Rabih Jammal stated the company views reliable power as essential to healthcare delivery rather than a privilege, enabling medical staff to perform duties efficiently and preserve lives through renewable energy.
Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area Adetola Abubakar indicated the installation eliminates power failures during childbirth procedures and surgical interventions while guaranteeing equipment functionality. Lagos State Health District 2 Permanent Secretary Dayo Lajide confirmed the facility can maintain around-the-clock operations with optimal equipment performance.
Jammal emphasized that maintenance would require collaboration between the corporation and local community members, with the company providing ongoing technical support for sustainable operation.
