Leventis Foundation trains 90 corps members in agribusiness across Nigeria
Leventis Foundation Nigeria has provided agricultural business instruction to 90 National Youth Service Corps participants through its nationwide training centers, with 40 individuals completing the program and 50 currently enrolled. Executive Director Hope Usieta announced the milestone during the third Agricultural Youths Summit in Abuja, highlighting the partnership between the foundation and the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Department.
NYSC Director General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, speaking through Ventures Management Director Abe Dankaro, encouraged young Nigerians to pursue agricultural enterprises as solutions to unemployment and food supply challenges. Foundation Chairman Ahmed Manti identified financing constraints as a persistent obstacle for small-scale producers seeking to expand operations and emphasized that increased investment remains essential for meeting productivity targets aligned with Sustainable Development Goals.
