Primary Wave crowns new sync royalty
Primary Wave Music advanced Peter Kurczaba to vice president of creative sync and Cleome Barber to director of creative A&R. The Los Angeles-based executives will report to their respective division presidents at the music publishing company. Kurczaba spent nine years at Primary Wave and secured placements for Apple TV programs and advertising campaigns for Dr. Pepper and Universal Studios.
Barber began as an intern in 2020 and worked with chart-toppers such as Benson Boone and Hozier. She organized events celebrating songwriter Allee Willis and contributed to an interpolation camp that will produce releases in 2026. The appointments follow September promotions that elevated three other employees to senior positions within brand partnerships and leadership teams.
