SBI, Airtel, LIC gain Rs 95,447 crore, but top tech stocks lose big
Market values for four companies among India’s 10 largest corporations grew by 95,447.38 crore rupees during the previous week, while six others lost a combined 91,685.94 crore rupees. State Bank of India led gains with an increase of 30,091.82 crore rupees, pushing its total valuation to 8,64,908.87 crore rupees. Bharti Airtel added 14,540.37 crore rupees to reach 11,71,554.56 crore rupees, and Life Insurance Corporation of India rose by 3,383.87 crore rupees to 5,65,897.54 crore rupees.
Bajaj Finance experienced the sharpest drop, falling 29,090.12 crore rupees to 6,48,756.24 crore rupees. ICICI Bank declined by 21,618.9 crore rupees to 9,61,127.86 crore rupees, while Infosys decreased 17,822.38 crore rupees to 6,15,890 crore rupees. Hindustan Unilever lost 11,924.17 crore rupees, settling at 5,79,561.93 crore rupees. HDFC Bank dropped 9,547.96 crore rupees to 15,18,679.14 crore rupees, and Tata Consultancy Services slipped 1,682.41 crore rupees to 11,06,338.80 crore rupees.
The Nifty closed at 25,722.10, down 0.28 percent from the prior week. Analysts noted the index displayed sideways movement after failing to hold above 25,800, suggesting potential consolidation ahead.
