TMPAA Summit marks 25 years of program power
The program insurance conference in Scottsdale drew 1,800 participants this week, up from just 150 at its first meeting 25 years ago. Managing general agents and carriers discussed how data tools help them write policies for cyber risks, renewable energy projects and construction businesses that standard insurers avoid. Major companies like AIG, Munich Re and Zurich sponsored the gathering at the Westin Kierland Resort.
Program administrators now design specialized coverage through partnerships built on shared information and reporting systems. Artificial intelligence platforms from exhibitors such as FurtherAI and Azur Technology sharpen pricing decisions without replacing human judgment. The business model shifted from alternative distribution to a core strategy that delivers speed and precision across global markets.
