Vertiv to buy PurgeRite for $1B in cash deal
Vertiv Holdings has agreed to purchase Purge Rite Intermediate for approximately one billion dollars plus performance-based payments reaching 250 million dollars contingent on achieving specific metrics. The infrastructure company expects the transaction to enhance its thermal management capabilities for artificial intelligence data centers requiring liquid cooling systems.
PurgeRite specializes in mechanical flushing, purging, and filtration services that maintain clean fluid circulation essential for high-density computing operations. The Houston-based firm serves major hyperscale operators and colocation providers through proprietary technologies addressing complex cooling applications across thermal chain components, including chillers and coolant distribution units.
Chief executive Gio Albertazzi indicated the acquisition aligns with capital deployment priorities, strengthening the company’s position across critical digital infrastructure markets. Regulatory approval processes are underway with completion anticipated during the fourth quarter, after which services will integrate with existing liquid cooling offerings to provide comprehensive thermal solutions from facility to rack levels.
