Samsung S26 Ultra copies iPhone corners
Samsung appears ready to abandon the angular aesthetic that defined its discontinued Note smartphone line with the forthcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. A leaked screen protector image reveals the device will feature curved edges rather than the squared-off profile that characterized previous flagship models.
The shift brings Samsung closer to the rounded corner approach favored by Apple’s iPhone designs. Tipster Ice Universe shared images comparing protective glass for the S26 series, with the Ultra variant showing particularly soft curves. Only the S Pen stylus remains as a vestige of the Note heritage in Samsung’s premium offerings.
The company plans to introduce the S26 series during a Galaxy Unpacked presentation scheduled for February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. This marks Samsung’s first return to that city for a major launch since the S23 debut three years earlier. Reports suggest a split processor strategy, with Exynos 2600 chips powering about half of all units sold in South Korea and Europe, while American, Japanese, and Chinese markets receive Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 versions. Camera improvements may bring variable aperture technology and a 200 megapixel Sony sensor to the Ultra model.
